A warm welcome to all of the revellers who will be heading for Brighton and Hove this weekend for Brighton Pride. The event seems to get bigger and bigger every year with visitors arriving from all over the globe. The parade will be weaving its way through the packed street’s of Brighton and Hove this Saturday starting at Hove lawns around 11am.
This will make its way to Preston park where a ticketed event will take place well into the evening. The main focus will be around St.James street as well as the Old Steine where there is a series of events taking place.The partying will be running from Friday to sunday so plenty of time to put on your dancing shoes.
The festival has been a yearly event in Brighton going back to its inaugural year in 1973. The event has grown from strength to strength and is now the largest of its kind in the UK where 300,000 revellers are predicted to attend. the theme this year is ‘Summer of love’ so expect lots of tie die and psychedelia type fancy dress.
